In September 2005, the Sea Breeze Family added another company: Stanley Lambert Wines distributed by Sea Breeze Wines. Susan Lambert-Kopstad and Todd Kopstad have owned and Operated Sea Breeze Coffee & Tea since 1996.

Sea Breeze Wines was formed to distribute the family’s wine, Stanley Lambert, in Florida. When my brother Jim Lambert and his wife, Pam, bought the vineyard in 2003 we had no idea that we would soon be distributing the wine. It was all very exciting, traveling to Australia and learning all about our great wines. We especially fell in love with the people and their sense of humor—in particular, our Winemaker Lindsay Stanley. Not to mention the simple life that they live. We enjoyed harvesting the grapes, which is hard work and long hours. We enjoyed holding the koala bears and feeding the kangaroos. We always look forward to the wonderful dinners prepared by gourmet chef Pam Lambert in the vineyard. All the winemakers show up with their different wines, and it’s always a memorable time to say the least.

We launched a real grass roots effort in Florida. You will find us out at all types of events tasting our great wines. In 2008, we were the very proud recipients of the Manatee Small Business of the Year Award.

I enjoy pouring our wines at events and meeting new people. They are always amazed at the quality and prices of our wine. They especially like to hear the different wines that were named after family members and why. For example, the Black Sheep is named after someone in our family—but I can’t tell you who it is. But I’m sure you will agree that every family has one.
